First Pastoral Visit – Bishop Mouradian will arrive on this Wednesday (12/7) and will offer the 6:30 Badarak. His Excellency will offer the 10:30 Sunday Badarak on Dec. 11 and a reception will follow the Badarak in our Church Hall. The Bishop will be leaving Philadelphia on Monday. We are asking everyone to bring an item for the buffet table on Sunday. Please inform Rosa Zeibari what you are bringing to avoid any duplication of items.
Celebrate Advent with your family – It’s a time to pray together. During Advent, you and your family can look forward to celebrating Christ’s birth. This is a time to reflect on Christ’s presence in everyday life. Plan to say a prayer together during each day of Advent. For example, your family could say prayers to: thank God, for something that happened during the day, thank God for the gift of family and friends and express your hopes for the future.
Blessing of Baby Jesus – Families are invited to bring their images and statues of the Baby Jesus, which will grace their Nativity crèche, for Father Mikael to bless on Sunday, December 18. As Advent is a time to prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas, Bless the Baby Jesus is an opportunity to reinforce the central place of Jesus Christ within the family.
