PARISH NOTES:

Celebrate Advent with your family – It’s a time to pray together. During Advent, you and your family can look forward to celebrating Christ’s birth. This is a time to reflect on Christ’s presence in everyday life. Plan to say a prayer together during each day of Advent. For example, your family could say prayers to: thank God, for something that happened during the day, thank God for the gift of family and friends and express your hopes for the future.

Blessing of Baby Jesus – Families are invited to bring their images and statues of the Baby Jesus, which will grace their Nativity crèche, for Father Mikael to bless on Sunday, December 18. As Advent is a time to prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus at Christmas, Bless the Baby Jesus is an opportunity to reinforce the central place of Jesus Christ within the family.

Joy for the Taking

Lord, you have given me so much. Help me to recognize my blessings and give thanks to you. Amen.

Christmas Eve – Attendance at Badarak on Christmas Eve will fulfill your obligation to attend Badarak on Christmas day. The children of the parish will participate in the procession in bearing the Infant to the Manger at the end of the Badarak.

Altar Flowers – This morning were donated by Joe & Sona Hoplamazian (Wedgewood Gardens) for the great Glory of God.

Your Christmas gift to your parish . . . will, we know, reflect your appreciation of God’s goodness to you. We thank you for your generous sacrifice both a Christmas and all year through.
